SCAR KNOWLEDGE:
Unsightly scars are needed to be corrected by what is called a scar revision, because of the following most common causes and situations that are seen in today’s’ surgical field. This knowledge applies to all locations of the body and to all types of scar formations.
Situation 1. Is that the physician has taken out the suture in about seven days or even sometimes earlier, that was recommended back in the late nineteen hundreds. Some physicians are still doing that old technology of suture removal on a closure and have never learned the most modern correct ways to stop the patients’ skin from spreading, causing an unsightly scar spreading formation. Our Medical Center can correct this situation in about 20-30 minutes.
Situation 2. Is that the patient has little circle scars all over the back of their head which has destroyed 30-50% of their available donor area from the 1970s’ and the 1980s’ technique of the Old Plug or the Old Punch Graft Method of removing the donor area. This is also caused at the present time by todays current FUE METHOD and orFOX METHOD procedure types of removing the donor area. Physicians doing these types of procedures do not like to talk about these side effects and claim they do not happen. But, the only difference between now and then is that the punch hole scars are a little bit smaller than the 70s’ and 80s’, but still destroys all the surrounding follicles of the single follicle that was removed when the donor area is taken out by the smaller type needle punch instrument of today. This instrument still has to cut the follicles bulbs that surround the one being removed, which regrettably destroys them. Our Modern, State-of–the-Art Technique has a 97%-100% success rate and will not cause any damage of the donor.
Situation 3. Is that the physician has used the Old Technique of Staples to close the back of the scalp donor area which leaves an unsightly train-track type look and is very painful to the patient while his or her skin heals. This type of closure is not normally done unless the physician is trying to take less time in closing the donor area or doesn’t have good suture techniques knowledge and modern skills in scalp closures. Please stay away from any type of staples for the back of the scalp area.
Situation 4. Is that the patients’ skin doesn’t have enough elasticity in it to come back together well for the closure of the patients’ scalp or the patients skin is genetically prone to spreading, in which case the physician should know this prior to doing a suture closure with this condition. With this knowledge in mind inside dissolvable sutures are put in prior to the closure of the outer skin that gives the tissue adequate time in healing to not cause this situation. At our Medical Facility we take special time and care to correct these situations and or special care and time for first time patients’ that have this type of skin. With our technique, many times we can‘t even find the suture line after our patients skin healing period has completed.
Situation 5. Is that the patients’ skin during the healing of the tissue is genetically prone to the scar rising higher than the surface of his or her skin; this is commonly referred to as a Keloid Formation Scar. This type of scarring is normally genetic, but if the physician is aware of this condition prior to the procedure and has Our New Surgical Knowledge to do this special type closure needed, the patients’ skin can still turn out smooth. Our Medical Centers Knowledge is surpassed by none when it comes to this condition.
